A vintage knitting pattern for a small child's fair isle beret and gloves,

Size to fit 2 to 4 years of age,

This attractive little set for a small girl or boy is knitted on two needles in two colours, the original colours being pale blue and brown,

Original yarn: 3 ply fingering wool, with a tension over the pattern, of 15 sts to 2" and 17 rows to 2" when working the beret, but 9 sts to 1" and 23 rows to 2" when working the gloves,

Measurements:
Beret - 13" round the ribbed headband stretching to 20", 9 " diameter of the crown,
Gloves - 5.75" overall length, and 2.5" width across back of hand, above the thumb,

The original pattern leaflet is very creased with a fold across the middle and browning of the pages. However its fully intact and free from knitters markings, and all the pattern instructions are clear.
