Measurements:
Beret: 9" diameter with a head measurement of 23"
Mitts: 9" long

Original yarn & colours: Melody 3 ply yarn in Grey, Red and Black
Mitts tension: 7 sts to 1" over fair isle, using no. 10 (3.25mm) needles.
Beret tension: 6.5 sts to 1", over fair isle, using no. 9 (3.75mm) needles.
Work a tension piece for success.
Circa 1940s
The pattern leaflet has a fold across the middle and showing signs of its age, but overall good vintage condition.
