A vintage knitting pattern for ladies ribbed stockings and gloves KNITTED ON 4 NEEDLES,
The simple rib used for these stockings and gloves gives them the elasticity and smooth clinging, the gloves have stocking stitch fingers.
Original yarn: Patons Beehive Fingering 3 ply, with a tension over the rib stitch of 14 sts to 1". The tension over the stocking stitch of the gloves is 9 sts to 1".
Measurements:
Stockings - 3 sizes, 9", 9.5", 10" foot length, all are 30" from top to base of heel,
Gloves - 10.25" overall length, and 2.5" width across the palm, unstretched.
Pattern leaflet is from circa 1940s, the pages have yellowed but its in good vintage condition.
