A used knitting pattern from Sirdar for 4 different styles of hats to fit from Birth up to 7 years of age.
The yarn used for the hats is Sirdar Tiny Tots Double Knitting yarn. This is a 50g ball. Quantities needed are:
0-6 months - 1 x 50g ball.
6-12 months - 1 x 50g ball.
1-2 years - Up to 2 x 50g balls
2-3 years - Up to 2 x 50g balls
4-5 years - Up to 2 x 50g balls
6-7 years - Up to 2 x 50g balls
Tension used is 22 sts and 28 rows to 10cm, over stocking stitch.
Also suitable yarn to use would be Snuggly DK, Supersoft DK, Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK, Snuggly Pearls DK. These are all alternative Sirdar yarn. Amounts of these may vary to ones give above.
