A vintage crochet pattern for a beautiful delicate bed cover, a colourful motif design interpretation of a lacy Victorian bedspread. There's a rose at the centre of each motif which adds appeal.
The cover can be made to your own personal requirements by altering the number of motifs worked.
Size of each motif is 5.5" square.
Size of cover: 77" x 99".
The original yarn used to make this cover was Coats Mercer Crochet No. 20.
The cover was worked in three shades and each ball was 20 grams weight and to make the bedcover to the size above you would need 23 balls of the first colour, 58 balls of the second and 20 balls of the third colour.
The hook size recommended was no. 4 (1mm).
If your crochet is loose use a finer size hook, if tight use a size larger hook.
Note: The crochet instructions are in UK crochet terms.
The original leaflet is from circa 1960s and its in good vintage condition.
